We provide drum lessons with a real difference for all ages and at all levels. Whether you are an absolute beginner who fancies giving it a go, or a seasoned drummer who wants to improve on technique or learn a different style, we have it all!

Lesson Packages

Lessons will cover all aspects of playing the drums but will be tailored to suit your individual needs and musical desires. This means you will learn at a pace that is comfortable and enjoyable.

Try-Out Package
So you know you like music and think drummers are cool! So do we. Simply book our 40 minute ‘Try-Out Package’ where we will show you how to set up a drum kit and get you playing within minutes for just €20.
If you enjoy your Try-Out session and book any of our Drum Lesson Packages below, we’ll even give you your first pair of Drumsticks absolutely free so you can start practising. Now that’s how much we love Drumming!
Lesson Prices
Package 1
This 3 hour lesson package at our studio is flexible and can be taken in 30, 45 or 60 minute weekly sessions and costs €80. Our kits are already set up so we always get started straight away!
Package 2
This 6 hour lesson package at our studio is flexible and can also be taken in 45 or 60 minute weekly time slots. If paid fully in advance we will give a 10% discount so it only costs €144.
Package 3
We travel to your home for each lesson and bring the drum equipment with us. 3 hours of tuition including travel and set-up costs €100. Lesson time is 45 minutes per session.
Live Gig Package
Looking to build up your confidence and join a Band one day? Or just want to experience playing in front of a ‘live’ audience?
This drum lesson package is designed especially for you. Gorey Drums will take you from the basic principles of drumming, through to learning a full song along with guitar and bass backing tracks. We will get you ready with plenty of rehearsals before the event so you can get a feel for working with other musicians. Then you will take to the stage and play ‘live’ along with our Studio band at a small midweek gig.
It is a great way to start playing in bands and you can even bring your friends and family along on the night. The Package includes 3 hours of lessons, music sheets, backing tracks for practising and Final Rehearsals at the Venue for only €100.
Biography
Graham Carey has over 15 years experience as a professional musician and tutor. Many of his previous pupils have gone on to study at internationally recognised music institutions such as The Royal Irish Academy, Berklee College of Music, Boston and Newpark Music Centre.
His drumming interest began at the age of twelve and after leaving school he went on to study Popular Music Performance at Ballyfermot’s Senior College, graduating with distinction at the top of his class. He quickly secured his first paying gig with Dublin singer Laurie Hartz and spent the next two years touring across Ireland and the UK.
He has played extensively throughout Europe and North America sharing stages with acts such as Jack L, The Beautiful South, Gerry Fish and The Mud Bug Club and Ronan Keating. He continues to play gigs weekly with many of Ireland’s most popular bands including The Camembert Quartet (The Late Late Show Band), Boogie Nights, The Hit Connection, 20th Century Gold, Rebel Rebel (David Bowie Tribute), Hard To Touch, Perfect Day and many, many more.
